I am such an idiot. I only took two photos of this polish whilst I was wearing it, and it wasn't until I'd taken it off that I realised this. IDIOT. I would have dearly loved to slap it back on, but I desperately needed to cut my nails down as I'd broken 3 nails on the other hand really low down so needed a trim to make them a little more even. Siiigh.
Even so, with only two pictures you can still appreciate how BLOODY LOVELY this is. Brick Lane is one of Nails Inc's new Graffiti collection polishes. When I saw this, I immediately HAD to have it. If you're at all familiar with the indie polish scene, you are probably aware of a VERY hard to find polish named Sticks 'n Stones by an indie brand called Cover Band. I have been lemming Sticks 'n Stones for the LONGEST time but it's next to impossible to get hold of. I hoped that Brick Lane would be a dupe. It's not, but it's definitely the next best thing.
Both Sticks 'n Stones and Brick Lane are comprised of black and white hex and bar glitters suspended in a clear base, but they're not quite the same. The pieces are smaller in Brick Lane, and the white pieces are a little bit translucent rather than the pure opaque white in Sticks 'n Stones - but really, that's nitpicking. It's definitely a good enough substitute - although if I do ever get the chance to snap up Sticks 'n Stones you can bet your bottom dollar that I will do so quicker than Felix Baumgartner breaking the sound barrier.
Whilst this is way too wordy and doesn't have enough pictures, this is still a Polishgasm because I absolutely LOVE IT. So much. Get it. Now. By the way, I'm wearing it over Illamasqua Obsess.

So lovely, I love how it really does give the effect of graffiti! very clever.

Isn't it gorgeous?! x
DeleteYeah... I want this.. Shame the white glitter doesn't stand out as much as the black though. X
ReplyDeleteYeah that is kind of annoying, but I love it anyway! x
DeleteOoooh, this is nice. I have Connect The Dots, which is the Lynnderella polish that Sticks & Stones was (controversially) inspired by and it is one of the best things in my stash. Loving your work, L-dogg...maybe I do need to get some'a these Graffiti polishes.......
ReplyDeleteOhh shut up you have Connect The Dots? That is the one I wanted originally, but then I saw Sticks N Stones and actually liked it better - and I don't ever plan to give Lynnderella any money ever after all their controversy! Don't worry about buying the Grafittis, I'll lend them to you haha
DeleteOh gosh SO pretty! Anything glittery I'm wanting so much right now, total magpie! Loving the Illamasqua shade underneath too!

I'm exactly the same, my glitter collection has expanded like, tenfold this year. Ridiculous! Yes - Obsess is one of my favourite polishes of all time ever, if I was only allowed to keep 10 (heaven forbid) it would definitely be one of them! x
