What Do You Say To Taking Chances

I'm a bit of an introvert and I don't go out an awful lot. I did go out on Friday night though - a good friend of mine is moving away - and since I had the day off work I thought I'd spend some time trying something new with my eye makeup. I wear eyeshadow every day, but I'm very much in a rut in the way I apply it. I wanted to go for a darker shade on the outer and inner corners, with a lighter shade in the centre of the mobile lid as a highlight. It was quite fun to do, and whilst it isn't particularly exciting I thought I'd share it with you anyway!

I started with Kryolan Eyeshadow Base, then used Kiko Shadow Stick 06 on the inner and outer corners, keeping quite a rounded shape. On the centre of the lid I used Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes pencil 23L, and set this with Illamasqua Slink eyeshadow from the Complement Palette, then I set the Kiko shadow stick with Illamasqua Fervent pressed pigment from the Empower Palette. I also applied Fervent on the lower lashline, and Fyrinnae Nijiro eyeshadow on the tear duct area. Inglot Matte 353 eyeshadow was my brow highlight, then I tightlined with Avon Supershock gel pencil, made a slight flick with my eyeliner - Illamasqua Havoc precision ink - and finished with RMK Separate Curl mascara.

The rest of my face was pretty much the same as what I always do; Nivea Express Hydration primer followed by YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat foundation, then Illamasqua Rumour blush to contour, Illamasqua Naked Rose blush on the apples of the cheeks, and Illamasqua Gleam in Aurora to highlight. Crikey, I do use a lot of Illamasqua don't I? The lip was Look Beauty Double Hit Lip in Rose Riot.
