Quick update and FOTD

I've had a really shitty morning. I got my cat put down D: but she was 19 and she'd gone mental (srsly mental) and was starting to lose her hearing and sight so it was just fairer for her. But tomorrow's another day, right? ^_^; RIP Spangle!

At least I have things to look forward to - yesterday I was terribly nervous and apprehensive about the Maybelline event but now I can't WAIT!

And don't forget, if you haven't entered my giveaway yet there's just over a week left - Go here to enter! (And don't forget even if you have already entered, you can earn up to 2 extra entries by tweeting/blogging about it)

On that note, I'll leave you with my FOTD (which I did about an hour ago - I wasn't stupid enough to wear makeup to the vets haha).

Face routine was the same as always - I'm stuck in a bit of a rut with that right now. Revlon Colorstay Foundation (150 Buff, Combination/Oily skin formula), Collection 2000 Sheer Loose Powder, BeneFit Coralista blush.

As for the eyes, I actually like them quite a lot today. Good old UDPP of course, followed by Illamasqua Liquid Metal (Solstice) over the lid. I pat this on gently with my fingers, as all of my brushes are natural hair and it appears that the liquid metals only really agree with fingers and synthetic brushes, not that I mind. A little bit of Illamasqua Pure Pigment (Furore) applied with a pencil brush to the inner corners brightened up the eye area. A flat shader brush was used to pat Urban Decay eyeshadow in Half Baked onto the rest of the lid with a little Urban Decay eyeshadow in Baked on the outer part of the lid. I used a fluffy crease brush to blend a bit of Urban Decay eyeshadow in Grifter to the inner part of the crease, and the same with Urban Decay eyeshadow in Last Call on the outer part of the crease (this was blended further up towards the brow bone than Grifter). Urban Decay eyeshadow in Sin was used as a brow highlight. I lined my lower lashline with Last Call, and softened and smudged it a touch with Grifter. I lined my upper lashline with Go Cosmetics Gel Eyeliner (black) and set it with Urban Decay eyeshadow in Oil Slick. I used Rimmel London SpecialEyes kohl pencil (Black Magic) to tightline, then finished by curling my lashes and applying two coats of 17 Va Va Voom mascara (Black).

On the lips I'm just wearing NYX Round Lipstick in Circe and Illamasqua Intense Lipgloss in Absorb - Oh, nude lips, how I've missed you!

Well, I'm now officially sick of typing the words 'Urban Decay eyeshadow in'. I apologise if you're sick of reading them! XD

  8. I'm so sorry about your cat. It's heartbreaking to have to do that. It's just necessary sometimes to send them to kitty heaven. Love the eye makeup. You have gorgeous eyes.
